Alana Thornton was already a STEM ambassador however wanted to be part of our programme taking climate action. After completing the training, Alana contacted the regional hub and we discussed where might be best for her to engage with a setting. The hub introduced her to a contact at Shipley College and they started their work together.
As a Climate Ambassador, I gave a presentation to the sustainability team at Shipley College. I explained the key elements of the Climate Action Plans (CAPs) and highlighted how the college is meeting sustainability goals. I also shared opportunities to improve sustainability and achieve climate targets. I am really looking forward to working with this college over the next 12 months to support the development and delivery of their Climate Action Plan.
