Consortium Partners
The Climate Ambassadors consortium is jointly led by the University of Reading and EAUC.
As a founding member of the Climate Ambassadors programme, the University of Reading brings its leading expertise in climate and environmental sustainability, as well as a track record of working in partnership to take action that makes a positive impact, to help drive the consortium forward. EAUC (the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges) is the leading body for sustainability in the post-16 education sector in the UK and Republic of Ireland. With over 300 members, and as the other co-lead of Climate Ambassadors, EAUC connects the programme to sustainability expertise, national organisations and volunteers from across post-16 education.
Regional Hubs
There are nine Regional Hubs in the consortium, led by organisations that have significant expertise of delivering sustainability action. These organisations bring a diverse range of knowledge and experience across the four key areas of climate action planning – adaptation and resilience, biodiversity, climate education and green careers, and decarbonisation – as well as extensive regional and national networks.

Other organisations
- STEM Learning
- STEM Learning provides the digital infrastructure underpinning Climate Ambassadors. By working collaboratively with the UK Government, employers and educational establishments, STEM Learning can deliver industry-leading teacher CPD, resources and programmes to every school in the UK, as well as offer long-term support and resources to primary and secondary students to encourage positive interactions for young people, teachers and beyond.

- Change Agents UK deliver the training and mentoring programme for the Climate Ambassadors programme, including the “Getting Started as a Climate Ambassador” workshops and the Climate Ambassadors Leadership Skills Programme. Change Agents UK is a non-profit organisation and has been working with schools, colleges, universities and local authorities for over twenty years, providing sustainability training and green skills and careers programmes.

- Ashden, which developed the Let’s Go Zero campaign, has a network of 2,200+ education settings engaged in producing climate action plans. The Let’s Go Zero Climate Action Advisors work in partnership with Climate Ambassadors to coordinate support for education settings, so that all settings are able to access guidance.
