Climate Ambassadors:

Embedding climate action where it matters most

“If you have a great knowledge of climate change, biodiversity or sustainability, Climate Ambassadors is perfect for you. Young children have a lot of questions; they want to learn so much more about the world around us. If you want to go into schools and colleges to give talks, if you want to help education settings learn more about places they can find great resources, or you want to help the places and people in our education system become greener and more sustainable. So, if you want to make a difference, become a Climate Ambassador.”

“What’s really special about Climate Ambassadors is it’s flexible. It can really fit the shape that the community needs it to be. We took some of the advice around creating a climate action plan, and looked at it through the lens of place. We live in Morecombe Bay, which is really ecologically important, so we made sure that it’s something really useful to our community.”

“For us (at RSK), social value means making a positive impact on the communities we’re part of – socially, economically, and environmentally. It’s about improving the quality of life now and for future generations. I found the Climate Ambassadors training provides a flexible framework that allows you to participate in a way that genuinely suits your own skills, experience, and confidence level. I joined my children’s primary school Green Team, and we talked through their goals and focused on how to turn good ideas into achievable actions.”
