Adrian Cooper

Adrian is part of several climate action community groups across Shropshire and joined as a Climate Ambassador, after hearing about the scheme through Keele Univerity, so that he could support schools in his area with his wealth of expertise. Adrian ran the sustainability team at the county council for many years before retiring and is now putting those skills to use volunteering in his local community. Adrian has attended two events at Keele to support schools with action planning and is now working with a Chair of Governors and Headteacher at a local primary school to put together their CAP.

I’m really enjoying using my established skills and contacts to help local schools to better understand and navigate the challenges of climate change – this fits in well around other paid consultancy work and is very rewarding.
