Climate and Nature Action in Education

We ran a national series of events in September to help drive climate and nature action planning in all education settings during 2024/25. You can view a video of the webinar, hear from Minister Morgan and download Action Cards and display them on your webpages or socials to show others the steps that you have started to take.

Climate and Nature: Action in Education

Climate Ambassadors: an introduction for education settings – video

EAUC hosted a free webinar on Friday 27 September. Education leaders, those with a sustainability remit, and other interested parties from education settings were welcomed. To find other events hosted by EAUC involving Climate Ambassadors and some of our sister projects please visit EAUC Events | EAUC

A recording of the webinar giving an in depth overview of the support on offer is below for you watch and share with your networks.

Overview

Our education system and the nurseries, schools and colleges within it play a critical role in driving action to address climate change and nature decline. As part of the Department for Education sustainability and climate change strategy, all education settings are expected to have a climate action plan and a sustainability lead in place by the end of 2025. During the new academic year a number of organisations will be working together to offer a wide range of free support to nursery, school and college leaders to enable them to act on climate and nature. Minister Morgan has recorded a video below outlining the support available.

Be one of the first education leaders to benefit from this support and start the development of your climate and nature action plan by accessing support from:
