The Climate Ambassadors Supporter scheme recognises organisations who have made a particular commitment to the Climate Ambassadors programme. Climate Ambassador Supporters are important allies, champions and advocates in our work to support education settings in England and for securing the longevity of the project.

Aldersgate Group is a member of the Climate Ambassadors Steering Group. Aldersgate Group is a politically impartial, multi-stakeholder alliance championing a competitive and environmentally sustainable economy. Association of Citizenship Teaching (ACT) is a member of the Climate Ambassadors Steering Group and supported the Climate Ambassadors project proposal to the DfE Invitation to Tender. ACT is the subject community for Citizenship teachers and educators and supports all those engaged in leading, teaching and supporting high-quality Citizenship education in schools and colleges. Association of Colleges (AOC) is a member of the Climate Ambassadors Steering Group. AOC is the national voice for further education, sixth form, tertiary and specialist colleges in England. AOC is a not-for-profit membership organisation established in 1996 by colleges, for colleges, with a membership making up 90% of the sector, educating and training 1.6 million people each year. Black Environment Network (BEN) is a member of the Climate Ambassadors Steering Group. BEN is working towards a vision of full multicultural environmental participation, local and global. British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is a member of the Climate Ambassadors Steering Group. BCC helps businesses to connect, succeed and grow and sits at the heart of a unique network of businesses of all sizes across all sectors, withing the UK and around the world. Visit Website
The Careers & Enterprise Company (C&EC) supported the Climate Ambassadors project proposal to the DfE Invitation to Tender. C&EC is the national body for careers education in England, supporting schools and colleges to deliver modern, 21st century careers education. Visit Website
Collective for Climate Action (CfCA) connects public servants and academics throughout the UK on climate and environmental action either professionally, voluntarily through work or community or personally. Working with CfCA raises the profile of the Climate Ambassadors programme throughout the public and education sectors online and at events. It helps CfCA members to volunteer effectively to address a range of climate and environment needs and helps public sector organisations to build resilience and ambition in addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis. The Geographical Association (GA) supported the Climate Ambassadors project proposal to the DfE Invitation to Tender. GA is the subject association for teachers of geography and members and volunteers are at the heart of the Association – a diverse, inclusive community of individuals who work together to create positive change for the world of geography teaching. The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) is the home for all environmental professionals. SocEnv’s primary functions are accreditation within the professions, celebrating environmental good practice and championing the advancement of environmental professionalism. Working with SocEnv raises the profile of the Climate Ambassadors programme with its 8,500 registrants and 27 licenced professional bodies and helps them to better understand and explore meaningful ways for their communities to be involved to drive collective action and impact. UK Schools Sustainability Network (UKSSN) Operations Group
UKSSN Ops Group is a network of school-based operations professionals and volunteers working together to improve sustainability in schools. Working with UKSSN Ops Group raises the profile of the Climate Ambassadors programme and wider support available across a wide range of operations roles in education. These include school business leaders, estates managers, operations managers and governors, all of whom play a crucial role in a school’s sustainability planning and delivery as well professional bodies, DfE and other sustainability partners.
