Collaborative Climate Action CPD Event (Cambridge)
- Date & Time
- Monday 14 December 2026
- Audience
- Education settings, Educators
- In-Person Event
- Cambridge, TBC
As part of the Department for Education Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy all education settings are expected to have a climate action plan and a sustainability lead in place. There is increasing evidence and experience that shows education settings should be treating climate change as a risk which can disrupt learning through severe weather, affect buildings, outdoor spaces and day-to-day operations, impact health, wellbeing, attainment and attendance.
This free CPD event will help you take the next step wherever you are on the climate action plan journey, utilising a hugely successful collaborative format. Early years settings, schools and colleges within ‘commuting distance’ of Cambridgeshire are strongly encouraged to attend – but all are very welcome!
The agenda is still being shaped, drawing on the successful format used at previous collaborative Climate Action CPD events. The day is expected to include a welcome and local context-setting, practical workshops, networking with support organisations, school case studies, and facilitated collaborative planning time to help settings develop realistic next steps for their climate action plans. A full programme and workshop choices will be shared closer to the event once contributors and facilitators are confirmed.
