Organisations
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and we work with a wide range of networks and organisations including education settings, professional bodies, government agencies, other sustainability education initiatives, businesses, NGOs and funders.
The Climate Ambassadors Supporter scheme recognises organisations who have made a particular commitment to the Climate Ambassadors programme. Climate Ambassador Supporters are important allies, champions and advocates in our work to support education settings in England and for securing the longevity of the project.
Supporting Climate Ambassadors
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and we work with a wide range of networks and organisations including education settings, professional bodies, government agencies, other sustainability education initiatives, businesses, NGOs and funders. Supporters are important allies, champions and advocates in our work to support education settings in England and for securing the longevity of the project.
The Climate Ambassadors programme is calling on employers, particularly those in the sustainability and environmental sector, professional services related to project, system or change management, behaviour change, education services or value-aligned organisations, from across England to support the programme by providing volunteers through their employee volunteer schemes.
Education settings need people with a huge range of skills to help them effectively plan and deliver climate action. You might have employees with expertise in project management, communications or leadership development who have enthusiasm to help deliver a more sustainable education system, or perhaps employees with technical skills in climate adaptation and resilience, energy efficiency or decarbonisation. If you do, we would welcome a partnership with you and your employees.
Benefits of supporting the programme and social value
Employers will have access to:
- A structured, relevant and meaningful volunteering option for their employees
- An established pathway for community engagement and creation of social value
- Opportunities for their employees to give back to their local community and deliver long-term impact
- Development of real-life climate leadership, skills and knowledge
Becoming a supporter organisation
Please read the Climate Ambassadors Supporter Guidance page which sets out more detail about becoming a supporter organisation. If you are happy to proceed, please apply via the form: Supporter Application Form
Please note that being a Climate Ambassador supporter organisation does not constitute a formal partnership agreement with the Climate Ambassadors programme, nor endorsement of specific projects or initiatives.
These Guidelines are reviewed annually by the Climate Ambassadors National Project Team.
